Theresa Schmidt began her career at Consumers Energy in 1990 holding several positions that includes serving customers through the company’s Smart Grid and Energy Efficiency programs.  After quickly developing a passion to help customers save energy and save money on their energy bill, along with helping preserve our environment, Theresa became dedicated to Energy Efficiency and has been in this area for eleven years.  She currently leads a team of energy experts in the Residential, Demand Side Management - Home Install Products sector at Consumers Energy.  Theresa holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration & Organization Development from Spring Arbor University and has been actively involved with industry organizations over the past decade.  Theresa likes to golf, travel, enjoy the beautiful Michigan summers, and volunteer for a local Labrador Retriever rescue.
