Senior Associate, Policy & Stakeholder Engagement
Natalie Newman is a Senior Associate on MEEA’s Policy Team. With a focus on Stakeholder Engagement, she is responsible for outreach and collaboration with stakeholders on state initiatives like Energy Efficiency for All (EEFA) and federal projects like the Buildings Upgrade Prize (Buildings UP). Natalie leverages her policy knowledge in work with coalitions and community-based organizations. Additionally, Natalie leads stakeholder, administrative, and legislative functions focused on Missouri.
Before joining MEEA, Natalie was a recruiter at a large international law firm, organizing a yearly summer associate program. She is a trained community organizer and previously worked for the Illinois chapter of the Sierra Club on both issue and political campaigns. Most recently, Natalie lived in Madrid, Spain, and studied Spanish.
Natalie earned a B.A. in Environmental Policy and Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis. In her spare time, Natalie enjoys practicing yoga, cooking and eating delicious food, and using public transit to explore Chicago.
