According to a annual surveys by the National Association of REALTORS, around 63% of REALTORS believe that promoting energy efficiency in listings is valuable. On the other hand, only about 33% pf them are comfortable answering clients' questions about energy efficiency and home performance. To help bridge this gap, MEEA partners with local chapters and other partners throughout the Midwest to help agents and appraisers understand the value of energy efficient, high performing homes.
The trainings we offer highlight the benefits of an energy efficient home, the tools that agents can use to effectively market these homes and resources that can help residents reduce energy use at home. We prioritize trainings that help professionals earn the continuing education credits required to mainting their state license, including trainings that qualify for designations from the National Association of REALTORS and the Appraisal Institute, but are also happy to support events that do not qualify for continuing education credits.
