Senior Accountant

Gillis Buckingham serves as the Senior Accountant at MEEA. He has been an accountant for 18 years, mostly in the non-profit sector. He was born in Mississippi, but raised on the Southside of Chicago. He graduated with a BS in Accounting from Southern University & A&M College in Baton Rouge, LA (Go Jaguars). He is currently taking classes and studying to obtain his CPA license. He also has an accounting business that he operates in his spare time, but most of his time is spent studying and taking care of his most valuable possession, his son Hanson.

If he’s not working or busy being a dad, his free time is spent trying to relax and watch sports.
